Robert F. Rivers, Executive Chair and Chair of the Board of Directors, Eastern Bankshares, Inc. and Eastern Bank

Robert F. Rivers is the Executive Chair and Chair of the Board of Directors of Eastern Bankshares, Inc. and Eastern Bank. Mr. Rivers joined Eastern Bank in 2006 as its Vice Chair and Chief Banking Officer, becoming President in 2007, Chief Operating Officer in 2012, an Eastern Bank director in 2015, and Chief Executive Officer and Chair of the Board of Directors in 2017. He has also served as a trustee of Eastern Bank Corporation from 2007 to 2020. Prior to joining Eastern, from 1991 to 2005, Mr. Rivers held a number of staff and line leadership positions at M&T Bank in Buffalo, NY. Immediately prior to joining Eastern, he was an Executive Vice President for Retail Banking at the former Commercial Federal Bank in Omaha, Nebraska. Mr. Rivers serves as the Board Chair of the Dimock Center, is a member of the executive committee of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, is the Chair of the Massachusetts Business Roundtable and is a trustee of Stonehill College. He also serves on the Board of the Lowell Plan and on the Advisory Boards of the Lawrence Partnership and the JFK Library Foundation, and the Boston Women’s Workforce Council. A leader in Boston’s business community, Mr. Rivers has been recognized as a champion for social justice issues, having led the “Yes on 3” campaign to protect the rights of members of the LGBTQ+ community. He received his undergraduate degree from Stonehill College and holds an M.B.A. from the University of Rochester

Denis K. Sheahan, Chief Executive Officer, Eastern Bankshares, Inc. and Eastern Bank

Denis K. Sheahan is the Chief Executive Officer of Eastern Bankshares, Inc. and Eastern Bank. He previously served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cambridge Trust Company and Cambridge Bancorp from 2015 until its 2024 merger with Eastern. Prior to joining Cambridge Trust Company in April 2015, Mr. Sheahan spent 19 years at Independent Bank Corp. and Rockland Trust where he served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Rockland Trust Company, Mr. Sheahan served as Vice President of Finance for BayBanks, Inc. Mr. Sheahan currently serves as Director for the Cambridge Community Foundation, Inc., is an Advisory Board Member of the Rian Immigrant Center, and is a Board Member and Treasurer for the Cambridge Family YMCA. Mr. Sheahan also serves as Treasurer and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Bankers Association, and is a Board Trustee for the Massachusetts Bankers Association Charitable Foundation, Inc. Mr. Sheahan is a graduate of the Cork Institute of Technology, Cork, Ireland, and received an MBA from Boston University.

Quincy L. Miller, President and Chief Operating Officer, Eastern Bankshares, Inc. and Vice Chair, President and Chief Operating Officer, Eastern Bank

Quincy L. Miller is President and Chief Operating Officer of Eastern Bankshares, Inc. and Vice Chair, President and Chief Operating Officer of Eastern Bank. Mr. Miller joined Eastern in 2016. He oversees a number of administrative and operational departments, after having previously overseen our Consumer Banking businesses, Business Banking, Institutional Banking and Eastern Wealth Management, and with the Chief Executive Officer, leads the overall strategic direction of Eastern. Prior to joining Eastern, Mr. Miller served as the President of Citizens Bank, Massachusetts, and President of its Business Banking division. He started his career in consumer banking at M&T Bank in New York City in 1997. Mr. Miller serves on the Board of Directors for The Boys and Girls Club of Boston, The Bottom Line, Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA, The Alliance for Business Leadership, The Greater Boston YMCA Board of Overseers, Board Emeritus of The Greater Boston Food Bank and Chair Emeritus of The Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts, and founding member of The New Commonwealth Fund. In 2020, Mr. Miller was honored at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Breakfast with the MLK 50th Anniversary Award for his commitment to Diversity & Inclusion that expresses Dr. King’s commitment to justice and equity. Mr. Miller earned a B.A. in economics and business from Lafayette College and graduated from the Consumer Bankers Association’s Graduate School of Retail Bank Management. He currently serves on the Board of The Consumer Bankers Association.

David
 Rosato, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, Eastern Bankshares, Inc. and Chief Financial Officer, Eastern Bank

David Rosato is the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Eastern Bankshares, Inc. and Chief Financial Officer of Eastern Bank. Mr. Rosato is a highly experienced Chief Financial Officer in the banking sector with extensive experience driving profitable growth in commercial and retail banking, wealth management and specialty finance.

An accomplished banking executive, Mr. Rosato has over 35 years of experience within community and regional banks. Prior to his role as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Berkshire Hills Bancorp and Berkshire Bank, he spent over 15 years at People’s United Financial, Inc., including nine years as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. During his tenure, People’s United grew total assets from $14 billion to $65 billion. He has extensive M&A experience, including the multi-billion dollar sale of People’s United to M&T Bank. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President & Treasurer at Webster Financial Corporation, and as a Senior Vice President, Asset/Liability Manager at M&T Bank Corporation. Mr. Rosato sits on the NASDAQ Exchange Board where he is a member of the Regulatory Oversight Committee, and he is a former board member of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston. He earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Economics and an MBA degree from the University of Maryland. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Kathleen C. Henry, Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Eastern Bankshares, Inc. and Eastern Bank; Chief Human Resources Officer of Eastern Bank

Kathleen C. Henry is Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Eastern Bankshares, Inc. and Eastern Bank, as well as the Chief Human Resources Officer of Eastern Bank. Ms. Henry joined Eastern in 2016. She oversees a legal team responsible for managing the legal affairs of Eastern Bankshares, Inc. and its affiliates, including Eastern Bank. She also serves as the primary legal advisor to Eastern’s Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer and senior management. She is responsible for serving as Secretary to the Boards of Directors of Eastern Bankshares, Inc. and Eastern Bank, directing all governance activities for Eastern Bankshares, Inc., Eastern Bank and their respective subsidiaries. As the Chief Human Resources Officer, Kathy leads all aspects of talent acquisition and development and compensation and benefits, and is part of the leadership team focused on diversity, equity and inclusion. Before joining Eastern, she was General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel of Plymouth Rock Assurance Corporation, and a litigation partner at Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP, specializing in insurance and reinsurance litigation where she also served as the firm’s first hiring and pro bono partner and oversaw attorney hiring and retention with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion. Ms. Henry serves on the board of directors of the Political Asylum Representation Project, the Advisory Board for the Northeastern University School of Law’s Women in the Law Conference, as trustee of the Boston Bar Foundation and has served on numerous committees of the Boston Bar Association. She earned a B.A in journalism from Boston University and a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law.

Steven L. Antonakes, Executive Vice President, Enterprise Risk Management

Steven L. Antonakes is the Executive Vice President for Enterprise Risk Management at Eastern Bank. He joined Eastern Bank in 2015. He oversees Eastern Bank’s Enterprise Risk Management function, which includes Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering, Compliance, Corporate Security, Credit Risk Review, Information Security, Market and Model Risk Management, and Operational Risk. Mr. Antonakes previously served as the Deputy Director and the Associate Director for Supervision, Enforcement, and Fair Lending at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Prior to joining the Bureau, Mr. Antonakes served as the Massachusetts Commissioner of Banks from 2003 to 2010. Preceding his appointment as Commissioner, Mr. Antonakes served in a variety of managerial positions at the Division of Banks having joined the agency as an entry-level bank examiner in 1990. During his 25-year regulatory career, Mr. Antonakes staffed the Financial Stability Oversight Council, served as the first state-voting member of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council, Vice Chairman of the Conference of State Bank Supervisors, and as a founding member of the governing board of the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System. In March 2007, Mr. Antonakes received NeighborWorks America’s Government Service Award for his work in combatting foreclosures. Mr. Antonakes earned his B.A. from Penn State University, an M.B.A. from Salem State University, and a PhD in Law and Public Policy from Northeastern University.

Gregory P. Buscone, Executive Vice President, Chief Commercial Banking Officer

Gregory P. Buscone is Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Banking Officer of Eastern Bank. He oversees Eastern’s Commercial Real Estate, Community Development Lending, Middle Market Banking and Specialized Lending, and International Banking divisions. Mr. Buscone joined Eastern in 2017 as Senior Vice President and Regional Group Head in Commercial Banking, overseeing Eastern’s Commercial & Industrial lending portfolio. He was promoted in 2019 to Executive Vice President, Senior Commercial Banking Officer and in 2023 to Executive Vice President, Chief Commercial Banking Officer. Previously, he spent 17 years at Citizens Bank, serving as a Senior Vice President and Market Manager for Massachusetts Middle Market and Specialized Lending. Active in the community, Mr. Buscone serves on several business and civic boards focused on strengthening the economic health of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He is Chair of the Board for the Associated Industries of Massachusetts and previously chaired its Investment Committee, served as Treasurer, and co‑chaired its DEI Committee. He also serves on the BDC New England Board and the Board of Overseers for Newton‑Wellesley Hospital. His past board service includes Bay Cove Human Services, where he served as Treasurer, and MassEcon, where he served as Vice Chair.

Martha A. Dean, Executive Vice President, Senior Operations Director

 A native of Lowell, Massachusetts, Martha A. Dean has worked in operations at various Massachusetts banking institutions for more than 35 years. Her broad experience includes managing deposit operations, electronic services, loan operations, loan processing, compliance, internal audit, technology, information security and operational risk. She joined Eastern in 2014 as Senior Vice President of Operational Risk Management and in 2018, was promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations, and in 2021 to Executive Vice President of Operations. Her prior experience includes: Chief Operations and Risk Officer at Centreville Savings Bank; Chief Operating Officer at Grafton Suburban Credit Union; Chief Operations Officer and CIO at Wainwright Bank; and Chief Operations Officer at Commonwealth National Bank, a de novo bank. She is a Board Member of Operation ABLE.

Kimberly Dee, Executive Vice President, Consumer Banking Director

Kimberly Dee is Executive Vice President, Consumer Banking Director. In this role, she has direct responsibility for Eastern’s retail, consumer lending and mortgage businesses. She is a highly accomplished retail, customer transformation and business banking executive, and previously spent over 20 years at Citizens Financial Group, where she began her banking career and held roles with increasing responsibility across retail and business banking. In addition to serving as a member of the Executive Leadership Group at Citizens Bank, she was its Head of the Retail Branch Network, where she led the strategic direction of over 1,000 branches and 6,000 financial experts, driving growth in retail, wealth and business banking product offerings and solutions. She was previously Executive Vice President, Customer Transformation Director, where she rolled out a customer interactional model across business lines as well as a digital platform to advance capabilities for colleagues. Ms. Dee earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Boston College Carroll School of Management. She is a former Board Member of Saint Francis House Boston and served for seven years as the Braintree Girls Youth Basketball Divisional Director.

Danielle Remis Hackel, Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer

Danielle Remis Hackel, Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer, joined Eastern Bank in July 2024 through the merger with Cambridge Trust. Previously, Ms. Remis Hackel served as Chief Marketing Officer of Cambridge Trust, responsible for branding, advertising, marketing communications, digital, social, web, campaigns, public relations and media. In addition to her role as Chief Marketing Officer of Cambridge Trust, Ms. Remis Hackel was president of the Cambridge Trust Charitable Foundation and served as the bank’s executive leader of the merger with Eastern Bank. Prior to Cambridge Trust, Ms. Remis Hackel worked at HarbourVest, a global private equity firm with headquarters in Boston and London, and State Street Global Advisors in various institutional product and marketing roles. Ms. Remis Hackel graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University and gained her MBA at Columbia Business School. She serves on the board of directors of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA.

Kerri A. Mooney, Executive Vice President, Private Banking

Ms. Mooney currently leads Private Banking for Eastern Bank. She joined the company in July 2024 through the merger with Cambridge Trust. Most recently, Ms. Mooney served as Chief Deposit Officer at Cambridge Trust overseeing the banking offices, commercial treasury services, and overall deposit strategy. Prior to joining Cambridge Trust, Ms. Mooney worked as the Director of Branches for HarborOne Bank from October 2016 to June 2018. Prior to that, she held various leadership positions at Rockland Trust from July 2010 to October 2016 including First Vice President/District Manager for Greater Boston and Sales & Service Officer for the Retail Branch Network.

Ms. Mooney is a graduate of Boston College. She is a former advisory board member for the investment and finance committees of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts.

Matthew A. Osborne, Executive Vice President, Chief Credit Officer

Matthew A. Osborne is Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer of Eastern Bank. Mr. Osborne joined Eastern Bank in 1998. He oversees all credit underwriting, credit training, loan portfolio reviews, managed assets and default management for the Bank. He also oversees the Bank’s Credit Policy Committee and Credit Committee, where credit policies and larger credit requests are approved. Mr. Osborne was promoted in 2019 to Executive Vice President, Senior Commercial Banking Officer, leading the Commercial Real Estate and Community Development Lending Divisions, and in 2023 to Executive Vice President, Chief Credit Officer. Prior to joining Eastern Bank, Mr. Osborne began his career with The Hibernia Savings Bank in Quincy, Massachusetts. He is actively engaged across the South Shore, and serves as a Board Member of both the Metro South Chamber of Commerce and the South Shore Hospital Charitable Foundation. He is a founding member of the Brockton Partnership, a group dedicated to furthering economic development in the City of Brockton.

Jeffrey F. Smith, Executive Vice President, Wealth Management

Jeffrey Smith is Executive Vice President, Wealth Management. In this role, Mr. Smith leads the combined Cambridge Trust and Eastern Bank Wealth Management teams including investment management, trust and estate services, and financial and tax planning services, along with delivering Private Banking services to Wealth Management clients from Massachusetts and New Hampshire to Connecticut. Mr. Smith joined Eastern Bank in July 2024 through the merger with Cambridge Trust, after joining Cambridge Trust in 2023 following a 24-year career at Rockland Trust Investment Management. He started his career at Scudder, Stevens & Clark in Boston, MA. Mr. Smith has his CFP designation and earned his BA in Economics at the University of Vermont. He serves on the board of Cooperative Production in Taunton, MA, which provides programs and services to address the needs of local citizens with intellectual and developmental disabilities and brain injuries.

Donald M. Westermann, Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer

Donald M. Westermann is an Executive Vice President and the Chief Information Officer at Eastern Bank. He joined Eastern in 2007. Currently, he leads the Technology, Operations, Product and Eastern Labs Teams, and is responsible for all aspects of the technology, operations and innovation strategy for Eastern, including digital, cyber-security, innovation, software engineering, data management, and delivery. Prior to joining Eastern, Mr. Westermann served as a Senior Manager with Grant Thornton and before that served as a consultant with Arthur Andersen, in each case in positions focused on technology and management information systems. Mr. Westermann earned a BS in Business Administration and Management Information Systems from Villanova University and an MBA from the Sloan School of Management of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Sujata Yadav, Executive Vice President, Chief Product Officer

Sujata Yadav, Executive Vice President, Chief Product Officer, joined Eastern as Senior Vice President, Consumer Lending Director in 2017 and was promoted to Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer in 2021. As Chief Product Officer, Ms. Yadav leads a centralized product team focused on product strategy, development and management while continuing to enhance product-related marketing and data analytics to help drive innovation, revenue growth and strategic alignment with customer needs. Under her leadership, Eastern has enhanced its consumer offerings including its first, fully integrated online platforms for Unsecured Lending and Home Equity. While leading Product Marketing and Analytics, she helped improve Eastern’s product marketing and performance measurement capabilities. Prior to Eastern, Ms. Yadav worked at Citibank N.A. for 14 years in both national and international leadership roles across the consumer bank. She earned a BA from the University of Rajasthan in Jaipur, India and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, India. Ms. Yadav serves on the Board of Directors of the United Way of Mass Bay and Merrimack Valley, The Boston Ad Club, and Junior Achievement of Greater Boston and on the Board of Trustees for Winchester Hospital.
